Hydrafacial Boosters
TM
A standard Hydrafacial cleans and exfoliates the skin, then hydrates and protects it in one session. The booster step is what turns the same facial into a treatment built for your specific skin. At LaVida Massage, Skincare & Wellness in Smithtown, you can pick from 10 Hydrafacial boosters. They target dryness, fine lines, dark spots, or breakouts. This guide covers every booster we carry, who each one is best for, what it costs, and how to book.
What is a Hydrafacial Booster?
A Hydrafacial booster is an add-on serum used during the final step of the standard Hydrafacial. The base treatment cleanses, exfoliates, and hydrates the skin using a vortex-fusion handpiece. The booster step infuses an extra serum chosen to match your skin goals into the skin during that same step.

That second part is the trick. A booster used on its own, like a serum at home, only sits on the surface of the skin. Used during a Hydrafacial, the booster is delivered through the same vortex-fusion device. That device helps the booster reach the deeper layers of the skin.

The result is a Hydrafacial that looks different on every skin. Two people sitting in the same chair on the same day can get the same base facial and walk out with different boosters: one for dryness, one for dark spots. That choice is the value the booster adds. That is the point.

What's New in Hydrafacial Boosters
The newest launch is the Hydrafillic Booster, which Hydrafacial unveiled in June 2025. It pairs Pep9 – a proprietary complex of nine peptides – with a triple hyaluronic acid blend and fruit extracts to firm the skin, soften the look of fine lines, and deeply hydrate in a single step. It is the most recent addition to the LaVida Hydrafacial menu.

Before that, Hydrafacial introduced the Hydralock HA Booster in October 2024. Clinical testing showed a 338 percent jump in skin hydration after a single treatment, a 63 percent reduction in the look of wrinkles, and brighter skin reported by 94 percent of trial participants 48 hours later. Both boosters are now part of the LaVida Hydrafacial menu and can be added on the same day as your treatment.

How to Choose the Right Booster for Your Skin Health
The simplest way to pick a booster is to match it to your top skin concern. Your esthetician at LaVida will walk you through this in your free 15-minute consult. Here is the quick map:
-
Dryness or dehydrated skin. Hydralock HA, Hydrafillic, or Nassif MD HydraGlucan.
-
Dark spots and uneven tone. Brighten, JLo Beauty, or Murad Vita C.
-
Fine lines and early aging. Firm, Restore, or Hydrafillic.
-
Stubborn wrinkles or sun damage. Murad Retinol.
-
Breakouts and clogged pores. Murad Clarifying
If you have more than one concern, you can do different boosters on different visits. Many LaVida clients rotate boosters by season. Hydration in winter, brightening or clarifying in summer. The esthetician can adjust the plan as your skin shifts through the year. It is that easy.
Hydrafacial Booster Pricing and Booking at LaVida
The Hydrafacial boosters at LaVida start at around fifty dollars for the standard options. Premium picks cost closer to one hundred dollars. Two boosters, Hydrafillic and Restore, carry a separate $45 upgrade fee on top of the standard add-on price.

Every standard booster (those priced at $49.95) is included free of charge in the Hydrafacial Plus treatment at LaVida. Hydrafacial Plus is a LaVida-exclusive package. It bundles the base Hydrafacial with one of the standard boosters at no extra cost. If you know you want a booster, Hydrafacial Plus is usually the cheapest way to get one.

Booking is straightforward. The Hydrafacial is safe for almost all skin types. You can book the standard treatment directly through the LaVida website or by calling the Smithtown location. If you are not sure which booster fits you, request a free 15-minute consult with an esthetician before booking. The consult helps match the booster to your skin goals and is part of the standard intake at LaVida.
Verdict on Choosing Your Hydrafacial Booster
The right Hydrafacial booster comes down to your skin and your goals on the day of the visit. It is a simple choice.
For dryness, Hydralock HA is the top pick because the clinical results back it up. For dark spots, Brighten or Vita C are the standard picks. For fine lines, Firm or Restore both work well, and Hydrafillic adds extra firming if you want the upgrade. For breakouts, Murad Clarifying is the only choice on the LaVida menu.

If you are new to Hydrafacial boosters, book the Hydrafacial Plus treatment. Let your LaVida esthetician guide you to a standard booster on the first visit. Save the premium upgrades for a return visit.
