Microchanneling

Procell Microchanneling is a very safe treatment for all skin tones. Individuals with the below contraindications, however, should not have this treatment.

• Are Pregnancy/Nursing

• Have uncontrolled Diabetes

• Are on Accutane or any related acne medication within the last six months

• Have any active inflammatory skin condition e.g. eczema, psoriasis, infection, rash or any type of dermatitis at the treatment site

• Have had a laser or deep chemical peel that removed the entire epidermis within the last 18 months

• Have newly done fillers or injectables within the last two weeks

• Have scars that are less than 6 months old

• Have keloids (raised scarring)

• Have a history of eczema, psoriasis and any other chronic skin conditions

• Have high blood pressure

• Have a presence of raised moles, warts or any raised lesions on the area to be treated

• Are currently or in the last 6 months undergoing cancer treatment

• Have an allergy to steel

• Have a chronic skin disease

• Have hemophilia

If you have a history of cold sores (herpes virus), consult your physician regarding appropriate prophylactic treatment before you have microchanneling as it can activate a pre-existing virus.

Please note that all treatments are at the discretion of our Esthetician. You will not be charged if your Esthetician decides that a treatment is unsafe or inappropriate.

Most clients report mild discomfort during the treatment and a feeling of tightness and heat to the treated area afterward. You can get a topical anesthetic from your healthcare provider if you feel you need it.

While results are often seen in one treatment, a minimum of 3 treatments for fine lines and age preventative treatment is necessary, and 5-6 treatments for scarring, wrinkles or skin tightening is recommended.

You will see initial results within days, however you will see continued improvement in your skin as it heals itself over the next 1-3 weeks. Please book your appointments 4 weeks apart.

This is a permanent result, however this new skin can also become stressed or damaged if not taken care of!

After the session, your skin will be pink or red in appearance for the first hour and normally dissipates completely within 24 to 48 hours. You can use a quality mineral makeup within 90 minutes of treatment.

Be sure to avoid sun exposure and use a quality SPF after 90 minutes.

We recommend treatments every 4 weeks, as the skin typically takes 3 weeks to regenerate fully between each treatment. You can get discounted packages to make sure you get the full treatment that your esthetician recommends.

Microchanneling and microneedling are both treatments that stimulate the skin to produce more collegen, but they are different in these ways:

• Microneedling uses a handheld device with tiny needles that penetrate the skin manually and drag, creating micro-injuries to stimulate collagen production. It requires more downtime and can cause minor bleeding.

• Microchanneling is a more advanced, precise version that uses a stamping technique with a controlled depth, reducing trauma while delivering serums directly into the skin. It causes less discomfort and has faster recovery.

Both improve skin texture, fine lines, and scars, but microchanneling is considered gentler and more consistent with very effective results.
